Teeth whitening is minimally invasive procedure of all cosmetic dental treatments. It is safe, fast and inexpensive way to brighten your smile discolored by stains such as tea, coffee, nicotine, pan chewing or by ageing.
These procedures are shown to constantly lighten teeth by 5-6 shades. Teeth whitening or bleaching is generally used to treat stained (extrinsic) or discoloration caused due to some medication such as tetracycline (intrinsic).
There are two common ways of doing the whitening treatment;

  1. Take-home Bleaching
    After thorough research and detailed examination, your smile is assessed for whitening then the impression of your upper and lower teeth is taken. This helps us to make custom-fitted mouth trays, which should fit you perfectly so as to avoid tooth-whitening gel to leak out of ill-fitting trays.These trays are made from a special, thin and flexible polymer and are very comfortable and easy to use. Once bleaching solution trays are ready, you will be given instructions on how to use them step by step. You will have to load or fill these with whitening gel and then leave on your teeth for 1 to 2 hour depending on its concentration. You will be guided as well on how to clean and maintain the trays on regular basis.All you need to do is to visit us after every 2-3 days to assess the results and within 2-3 weeks you are all set to flaunt your white shiny teeth.
  2. In-office bleaching
    After detailed examination and consultation, we will make impression of your upper and lower jaws. Once your trays are ready, we apply protective covering on your gums. In-office whitening gel is then loaded in the tray and then placed on your teeth. Special lights can be used to fasten the teeth muscles. This procedure can take up-to 1 hour.
    However, you may need few more visits to have sparkling new white teeth.Precautions:

    • We do not recommend teeth whitening for people under 20 years of age
    • It is not recommended for pregnant and nursing mothers
    • Some people may experience little discomfort or sensitivity in teeth or gums. But this sensation is temporary and will evade eventually
